NYSORE Policies, Terms & Conditions

Attendance Policy:

Attendance policy will be the same for both LIVE and WEBINAR classes according to the guidelines that each state puts forth. In other words, if one state says that you must complete 80% of your coursework to qualify for a certificate and another state requires 75% of your coursework to be completed, our school will comply with the state law.

WEBINAR Course Attendance:

All webinar courses are conducted through Zoom and are recorded. A working camera is required so the instructor can see the students sitting at their workspace. Throughout any class that is trained, there will be random attendance pop ups that must be clicked on by the student and captured by our reporting system. In addition, depending on how many hours in a class, there will be random questions that will also pop up that must be answered. Although, the questions are not pass or fail questions, its important to know that if too many questions or answers are not clicked on, as well as attendance missed will be an indication that the student was not participating in the class which may not qualify them for a certificate. In addition, at the end of every webinar course, we have the following attestation that must be clicked on to attest to the fact that they are who they said they are. The fact that the attestation has been completed, does NOT guarantee any student that they have earned a certificate. Earning a certificate means that the student has accomplished the minimum standards of state or course outline.

I attest to the fact that I am indeed the person that registered for this CE class. I understand that if I am not the person named on this Zoom class that the person I am attesting for may have their license suspended or revoked by the DOS.

In-Person Course Attendance:

For in-person classes, we may use either of the following TWO methods of capturing attendance:

  • Handwritten sign in sheet
  • Foo Events online check-in attendance application (handled by the instructor – no self-check in is allowed)

Similar to webinar classes, students are required to complete at least 80% of coursework / attendance in classroom as determined by instructor.

Instructor Hire Policy:

All Instructors are vetted by Doug Vairo, director of New York School of Real Estate (NYSORE), instructors must qualify for a training license per state requirements, either as a fully licensed trainer to train all courses or a technical trainer to train one or more specific topics. Vetting process can take place either in-person or a Zoom meeting. Doug is looking for a minimum of at least the following qualifications:

  • Technical knowledge in the field you’re looking to instruct
  • At least a few years of working experience in the instructor’s field of expertise
  • Chemistry in dealing with scheduling & running a class (In other words, do you seem to enjoy training students?)

Refund Policy:

Our refund policy is extremely simple. If for any reason, if you’re not happy with any product or service supplied by our school, we will offer you one of the following two options (excludes certain classes):

  • Total refund, no questions asked, if requested within 30 days of course commencement
  • 100% credit to another product or class

Student Rules of Conduct:

Student rules of conduct are simple and straight forward. Our school does NOT tolerate disruptive or overly obnoxious conduct by any student. In Doug’s experience in 27 years of training, he’s only had to remove only ONE student from the tens of thousands of students he trained.

We love nothing more than actively engaged, fully participating students who ask questions and have a sense of humor. We even enjoy a little sarcasm.

Things that will not be entertained by the school are such requests like:

  • “I’m sorry I was 2 hours late, can I still get a certificate?” (The answer will be no.)
  • “I’m sorry I had to leave the class for 30 minutes, I had an important phone call” (The answer will be no.) (stepping out for 5 minutes is always OK but please don’t make it a habit)
